Smartphone Addiction and Social Appearance Anxiety as Predictors of Junior High Students’ Need to Make a Good Impression

The aim of the present study is to investigate relative contribution smartphone addiction and social appearance anxiety as well age gender in predicting early adolescents' need make a good impression. 382 students (50% girls) from two junior high schools answered Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version, Social Appearance Anxiety Scale Need for Approval Scale. As result regression analysis, age, gender, contributed significantly explain 38% variance was found be strongest predictor positive impression adolescents. A moderate relationship between leave While negatively related impression, girls were have higher than boys. Examining model with diagnostics, it concluded that reliable can generalized population.
